If you are a PC gamer, you most likely know that Nvidia’s latest Turing GPU series hasn’t been doing that well among gamers that can’t spend about $300 on a GPU. Thanks to Videocardz, we have gotten our hands on pictures of three MSI variants of the GTX 1660. As you can see in the images below, the GTX 1660 is going to feature 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM which is last-gen technology. Just like the GTX 1660 Ti, “Ray Tracing” was replaced with “Turing Shaders” on the box of the GPU.

GTX 1660 Specs and Release Date

Thanks to numerous reports, we have gotten our hands on the specs for the Nvidia GTX 1660. The Nvidia GTX 1660 is rumored to feature 1408 Cuda Cores, a boost clock of 1785 MHz, 8 Gbps memory clock, 6 GB of GDDR5 memory, and it is supposedly going to cost you $219. Considering that the GTX 1660 is going to feature last-gen memory technology and only 1408 Cuda Cores, Nvidia may have a hard time to make it worth it for gamers to choose the GTX 1660 over the GTX 1660 Ti as it costs $50 more than the GTX 1660.

Now, let’s talk about the release date. According to the latest rumors, the Nvidia GTX 1660 is going to be released on March 14th, 2019 which means that it’s less than a week away. Numerous rumors from credible sources combined with the GTX 1660 MSI variants bein pictured means that the GTX 1660 is really close to release therefore, a March release date makes a lot of sense. Usualy when a GPU’s boxes get pictured, the GPU is released a month or two later.
